Customized Itinerary

How can I request a customized itinerary?

To request a custom itinerary, simply fill out our Itinerary Request Form. If you are a Travel Advisor requesting an itinerary for your client, please fill out our TA Itinerary Request Form.

There is no “cost” for a customized itinerary, meaning that we don’t offer itineraries-only services. Our goal is to provide a turn-key, extraordinary and seamless travel experience within your budget, which of course includes a beautiful visual itinerary. For new clients, a trip design fee of $350 is collected after the Exploration Call to create the custom itinerary. That fee is deducted from the total cost of the trip and it is non-refundable should you choose to go a different route.

Yes, our minimum budget is typically $10,000, although there may be some exception, depending on the length of the trip and the season.

Certainly! When traveling to Italy, typically our clients like to stay 10 days to two weeks and will explore multiple destinations. While Italy may seem like a tiny country, it is filled with beauty and culture all around. We usually recommend no less than three nights in each location and highly encourage longer stays where appropriate.

Once the trip design fee is paid, the itinerary will be ready within 7 business days. For trips longer than three weeks, it may take up to 10 business days.

Once on trip, our team of Local Managers is dedicated to fulfilling any last minute requests, changes or cancellations. For any additions/changes during the trip, a concierge bill will be issued at the end of the trip.

General

What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel your travel arrangements, you may be entitled to a partial refund. Proof of cancellations due to an injury or illness may be required by our partners to issue a refund. If you decide to cancel arrangements before the balance due date (typically 30 days before the trip), any deposits paid are non-refundable but can be transferred to a later date or a different person.

Refunds will only be paid to you once we have received the funds back from our partners. If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your travel insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim

your cancellation charges through your insurer.

Cancellations due to COVID-19 exposure, infection, or limitations/ restrictions on travel instituted by either the country traveling from, to, or any country traveling through are addressed in the COVID-19 Addendum in our Terms. Download our Terms & Conditions agreement HERE

Yes! We are all about sustainable travel! That means choosing locally-owned accommodations who grow their own food, use renewable energy sources and pay close attention to their carbon footprint. It also means supporting communities by paying our partners what they are worth and not what the mass-tourism operator offers. It means educating our travelers about the impact that mass tourism is having and helping them make educated decisions that help protect our planet. To learn more about our sustainability ethos and the solutions we strive to implement, you can read our blog post Mass Tourism’s Problematic Impact on Iconic Destinations and Sustainable Solutions

All of our guides speak the local language and English. We also have guides who speak Spanish, French, Mandarin. Simply let us know about your language preference and we will assign the right guide for you.

While we are not resellers of travel insurance, we work with several travel insurance companies that we are happy to recommend and/or include in our proposal.
