Begin your journey in Matera, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, and stay in the unique Sassi hotel made from solid stone and built into an ancient cave dwelling. Then travel to Puglia, where you will explore picturesque cliff towns, endless olive groves, vineyards and extraordinary cuisine. Spend a day in Alberobello, a Unesco World Heritage site and sample some of the region’s most renowned wines and traditional foods. Visit Ostuni, known as Italy’s white city for its white façades and admire the stunning Polignano a Mare, where Italian singer-song writer Domenico Modugno wrote the famous song “Volare”.
