Alessandra Campana

The first time Karen and Alessandra met was at Karen’s wedding! She had been looking for an accredited Italian interpreter for her special day since none of her family from Italy speaks English, and Ale was the perfect fit. When they first spoke, they immediately knew that their relationship would continue well beyond the wedding day; and little did they know that they’d be soon start working together on this incredible quest of sharing their language, culture and passion with the world!

Alessandra was born in Turin and raised in Gaeta, a small coastal town south of Rome. Growing up, she had the privilege of developing strong ties with the local American community linked to a U.S. Navy base. Therefore, she was able to keep both languages simultaneously alive and current starting at a very young age. After graduating from the William Shakespeare Linguistic High School of Formia (LT, Italy), Alessandra attended the Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori (Superior School for Interpreters and Translators, Rome, Italy) which consisted of 5 years of advanced courses in technical and literal translation, grammar, literature, consecutive and simultaneous interpretation. Her experience, her studies and her passion for languages allowed her to build a successful career as a freelance interpreter, a translator and a private teacher. She is a proud member of the Board of Directors at AAIT (Atlanta Association of Interpreters and Translators) and also volunteers for the Italian translation of the app ShareTheMeal, an initiative of the United Nations World Food Programme
